Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi returned home on Friday after a three-day visit to Ethiopia during which he led Egypt's experts delegation to the fourth round of the Ethiopian renaissance dam meetings.
Moghzai, who left Addis Ababa after two-day marathon meetings over the Ethiopian dam's effect on the Nile water share of the downstream countries, was seen off at the airport by Ethiopian Water and Electricity Minister Alemayehu Tegenu.
During the meetings, water ministers of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan selected two international consultancy firms to conduct studies determining the hydraulic, water and social effect of the dam on Egypt and Sudan.
The two consultancy firms are French (BRL) and Dutch (Deltares).
The three ministers agreed to contact the two consultancy firms over the coming few days to ask their opinion regarding their joint cooperation for conducting the studies before signing the contracts on this score in early May.
