Egyptian premier arrives in Gaza

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil today arrived in Gaza Strip, accompanied by a high-level delegation. The Egyptian Premier is set to meet the Palestinian Government in Gaza before heading to Al-Shifa Hospital. Israel earlier announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu had approved an Egyptian request to halt the military operations in Gaza during the visit of the Egyptian delegation. Egypt yesterday announced the visit and recalled its ambassador in Tel-Aviv after the assassination of the Ahmed Al-Jaabari- the commander of the Al-Qassan Brigades-the military arm of Hamas.
