
Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy and the visiting United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan held talks Saturday. In a press statement following the meeting, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bader Abdulatti pointed out that the meeting tackled means to strengthen relations and expanding cooperation between the two Arab nations. Abdulatti added that Foreign Minister Fahmy welcomed Al-Nahyan's visit, the first by an Arab foreign minister since the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi on July 3 after mass protests of June 30th. He added that Fahmy has reiterated, during the meeting with Al-Nahyan, the interim government's commitment to implement political roadmap as well as to include all political forces, without exception, in the political process. For his part, the UAE Foreign Minister expressed his country's support to Egyptian people to help achieve its legitimate aspirations.
