Egypt's chief of staff, Greek counterpart attend main phase of joint exercise

Egypt's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy and Greek Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS), General Mikhail Kostarakos attended on Wednesday the main stage of the joint Egyptian-Greek air force exercises “Horus 2015”.

The exercise is aimed at improving the technical competence of troops as well as the tactical training of army officers.

The training also focuses on the training of offensive operations and mutual defense between Egypt and Greece.

Hegazy underlined the importance of the training which reflects the close ties binding Egypt and Greece in the various fields.

He also voiced hope that the upcoming phase will witness more cooperation in the various spheres.
