
Egypt's Ambassador in Bangladesh Mahmoud Ezzat asserted that the embassy has made all necessary measures for the parliamentary elections for the Egyptian community here.
The first phase of the parliamentary elections is set for October 17-18, while the second phase will be held on November 21-22.
In statements to Channel 71 here, the ambassador said Egyptians abroad were banned from voting before January 25 revolution, but now they have the right to take part in choosing the members of the parliament which is the final step of Egypt's roadmap plan announced by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the wake of June 30 revolution.
He said Egyptians are following the footsteps of President Sisi to achieve their hopes of stability, peace and development, noting that the starting point was the accomplishment of New Suez Canal project.
