Egypt's new envoy in Kigali Namira Negm presented Saturday her credentials to Rwanda's President Paul Kagame, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During her meeting with Kagame, Negm conveyed greetings of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Rwandan president, the statement added.
She stressed to Kagame that Sisi and the Egyptian government showed a special interest in its ties with African states, especially Nile Basin countries, considering them as a top priority.
Kagame said he visited Egypt during the Egypt Economic Development Conference, held in Sharm el-Sheikh on March 13-15.
He praised the outcomes of the conference and the international support to Egypt, especially by Arab states, adding that his meeting with Sisi tackled boosting cooperation and bilateral relations.
