The Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby has condemned the blast on Tuesday night in Egypt’s Nile Delta city of Mansoura, which killed one security conscript and wounded several troops and civilians. In a statement issued Wednesday by the pan-Arab organization, he denounced the incident as a “criminal act” that targets Egypt and could “undermine security and stability in the country,” saying that he wishes culprits will be identified and brought to justice as soon as possible. El-Araby called on political forces to “immediately start taking steps” to achieve national reconciliation and “put the general interest of the Egyptian people ahead of any considerations.”
