Environment minister Khaled Fahmy meets Italian ambassador in Cairo

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy met on Tuesday with Italian Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed ways of boosting cooperation in a number of environmental projects including the project of protecting and developing some nature reserves such as Wadi Heitan, Wadi el Rayyan and Siwa Oasis.
Fahmy briefed Massari on the Minisrty's strategy and vision to support and improve these nature reserves.
Also, they touched on a project to establish a plant for recycling the solid waste In Minya governorate.
The project is expected to be set up by the Environment Ministry, the Italian side, Minya governorate and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
