The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) has taken steps to provide accommodation to 141 citizens and residents in Sharjah, Fujairah and Al Ain, whose houses were damaged following heavy rainstorms which hit the UAE during the last two days.
Acting on the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the ERC, the Authority helped move 15 families in Sharjah into 23 hotel apartments, in co-ordination with Al Madam Municipality, Sharjah Police and Department of Social Services in Al Dhaid.
The ERC also evacuated 23 people in Al Ain and 18 in Kalba to safer accommodations.
