Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks here Saturday with President of Iraq's Kurdistan province, Masoud Barzani, on security conditions on Turkish-Iraqi borders.Barzani, in remarks after the meeting, underlined importance of stopping "bloodshed and military operations" between the Turkish army and Kurdish rebels.He supported Erdogan's plan to be more open on Kurds. Barzani said it was important to discuss the Kurdish demands in the parliament.Barzani was in Ankara last Thursday to discuss Turkey's military operations against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in moutains in northern Iraq. Turkey and the US consider PKK a terrorist organization.The Turkish army launched the military operation in northern Iraq after PKK attacks killed 24 Turkish soldiers near the borders last month.PKK's operations has been escalating since last summer when it ended its own ceasefire.Barzani condemned PKK's last month attacks, calling on rebels to cease all operations against Turkey.
