The man suspected in the disappearance of boy Etan Patz was released from Pennsylvania prison, then rearrested for allegedly lying about his living arrangement. Jose Ramos, 69, was released from SCI Dallas Prison in northeast Pennsylvania late Tuesday, then immediately rearrested for telling police he was going to live at a location in New York City that he allegedly had no real plans to inhabit, the New York Post reported. On Wednesday, Magisterial District Judge James Tupper set Ramos' bail at $75,000 and ordered him back to court on Nov. 15. Ramos spent more than 20 years in prison for molesting children in Pennsylvania. He is also the main suspect in the disappearance of Etan, who vanished on May 25, 1979, on his way to school. Ramos was dating Etan's babysitter at the time, and had long been considered a suspect.
