
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia welcomed the important visit which HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will pay to Addis Ababa on Monday, stressing its positive impact on the relations between the two friendly countries.
In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the Ambassador of Ethiopia to Qatar Mesganu Arga Moach said that the government and the people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia highly appreciate HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit which will contribute to further strengthening bilateral relations in all political, economic, investment and cultural fields.
HE the Ethiopian Ambassador added that the Ethiopian government values choosing Addis Ababa as the first stop of HH the Emir's African tour, affirming that the two countries have a deep and unbreakable bond rooted in mutual respect.
He noted that HH the Emir's visit will provide an opportunity to consulate and coordinate between the two leaderships on regional and international issues of joint interest including security, peace and countering terrorism, in addition to the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing cooperation in all areas, mainly in the investment sectors.
HE the Ambassador underlined that HH the Emir's African tour will effectively contribute to promote the Arab-African relations, hailing Qatar's vital role in establishing peace and stability in Africa, including its important role in achieving peace and stability in Darfur, Djibouti and Eritrea.
The Ethiopian Ambassador also highlighted Qatar's growing humanitarian role in the African continent to provide relief and assistance to its people affected by armed conflicts or natural disasters.
A total of 22,000 Ethiopians are living in peace and respect in the State of Qatar, contributing to the development of their second homeland each from his position, the Ambassador concluded.
