
Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, who is the chairman of the African Union’s current session, received on Friday a written message from Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on bilateral ties and Sudan’s stance in relation to the issue of Abyei. Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti handed over the message as he met with Desalegn today. The message touches on the ongoing developments in Abyei and Sudanese issues in the AU, especially those pertaining to relations with South Sudan, in addition to bilateral ties with Addis Ababa and the expansion of economic partnerships, mutual consultation and making maximum benefit from resources of both sides, Karti told Sudanese radio.
