Ethiopian prime minister ends Sudan visit

Ethiopia Prime Minister Meles Zenawi ended on Friday his one-day visit to Sudan, during which he met with Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir. Al-Bashir described the meeting as "successful" and said that the two leaders discussed Zenawi''s initiative to end the crisis in the state of Blue Nile and South Kordofan. The Sudanese President praised the Ethiopian position which supports Sudan''s and the region''s stability. For his part, the Ethiopian Prime Minister praised Al-Bashir''s response to the Ethiopian initiative for ending the conflicts in the two areas, and stressed on the notion of Sudan''s stability and its direct relation with the security and stability of Ethiopia.
