Turkish Ministry of EU Affairs will host EU Istanbul Conference to discuss Turkey-EU relations and evaluate problems and opportunities. Ministry of EU Affairs said in a written statement that the conference will bring together many leaders, European Parliament members, politicians, and academicians on June 7-8 in Istanbul. Hosted by Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and the Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, the conference themed "A shared future for Turkey and EU in the presence of global problems" will be the most comprehensive one in the field. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan together with his Slovakian counterpart Robert Fico will attend the conference as well as UK former foreign minister Jack Straw, Commissioner responsible for enlargement and European neighbourhood policy Stephan Fuele, and many representatives from business and media worlds.
