The European Union (EU) hopes to see Iran "show some flexibilities" in the ongoing talks held here on the Iranian nuclear issue, an EU official said Tuesday. "We have given proposals. Now we are waiting for Iran's response to it," EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton's spokesman Michael Mann told Xinhua during a news briefing. Tuesday's talks were attended by representatives of Iran, the EU and the so-called P5+1 powers -- Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States and Germany. "Things have been moving forward, progresses have been made. However, we really hope to see Iran show some flexibilities and then we can go forward," Mann said when asked about EU's expectations on the talks. The EU does not expect a done deal, but "we are not here to talk just for talk's sake," he added. The talks are expected to be finished in two days.
