The European Union praised the Bahraini Government for the implementation of the recommendations contained in the report of Bahrain’s Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI). In a statement issued today, the European Union welcomed publishing the progress report on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the final report of the (BICI) which was submitted a year ago. Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, praised the efforts done by Kingdom of Bahrain’s government in order to implement those recommendations. She also stressed that the success of that process highly counts on the constructive cooperation between Bahrain’s government, the political societies, and the citizens in general. On the other hand, Ashton expressed the EU's readiness to provide all necessary support to ensure the success of that process if requested by the Bahraini government, highlighting the positive stance of the Bahraini government.
