Four people were injured in an explosion in an area in southeast Turkey, Turkish media sources said, Tuesday. According to the sources, the incident occurred when a youth tried to denote a locally made bomb in Baglar area of the south Diyarbakir Province. The explosive device went off, resulting in the amputation of the youth's arm in addition to the injury of three other individuals. Media reports speculated that the bomb exploded due to a malfunction. The reports also said that some Kurdish rebels might be behind the manufacturing of the explosive. The southeast region of Turkey came to relative calm since the Kurdish rebels announced that they would withdraw to their strongholds in northern Iraq in accordance with a peace agreement signed with the Turkish authorities last May
