One civilian Iraqi was killed as a car bomb went off west of Baghdad this evening. State police said that the car was parked near a house of one of the clergy in the area, noting that seven people were wounded by the blast. Baghdad and five other Iraqi provinces of Nineveh, Ta'mim, Diyala, Salahuddin and Qadisiyah today witnessed a series of explosions, car bombs, bicycle bombs and gun attacks that killed and wounded 294 civilians and soldiers. In a statement on the attacks that took place today, Iraqi Interior Ministry said that the intensification of the attacks in specific times and places calls for revising the security strategies and plans.
