
Egypt's Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy delegated his assistant minister for multilateral affairs and international security to visit Myanmar as part of a high-level delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Ministerial Contact Group on November 13. The delegation comprises the OIC chief along with six foreign ministers, who are members in the OIC. The visit, which will run from November 13 to November 16, aims to hold several meetings with Myanmar's officials and stand on the situation there. They will also discuss the conditions of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. The “Rohingya minority still faces many challenges starting from deprivation of the right to citizenship based on the 1982 Citizenship Law, not motivating refugees to return and the continued displacement campaigns.
