Fatah on Monday accused Hamas of detaining militant leader John Misleh and called for his immediate release. Misleh is a leader in the Fatah-affiliated al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He was detained by Hamas authorities as he returned to Gaza from Egypt on Sunday, Fatah said. Fatah holds Hamas responsible for Misleh's life, a party statement said. "His arrest by Hamas is a violation of human and civil rights," Fatah spokesman Fayez Abu Eita said. "We need to be united and in harmony to confront the aggression and protect our people from the collective massacres committed by Israel," Abu Eita added.
