Fatah official condemns Israel use of police dogs

Fatah official Abbas Zaki called on Saturday for an international campaign against Israel's use of police dogs to break up popular protests in the West Bank. A Palestinian man was injured in a demonstration in Nablus village Kafr Qaddum on Friday when Israeli border police released a dog which locked its jaws on him, an incident caught on tape by Ma'an affiliate Nablus TV. Zaki said the use of dogs to apprehend Palestinians at protests is a "crime that opposes all humanitarian and ethical standards." "International organizations should not be silent towards the crimes and violations regularly committed by Israel against Palestinians," he added.
