Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said today that the task of establishing an independent state of Palestine and the extension of sovereignty over the Palestinian territories on the borders of June 1967, remained a top priority and a fundamental right of the Palestinian people who seek self-determination and desire to live in freedom and dignity in their homeland as other peoples of this globe. In a weekly radio address, he said "the work of the National Authority was based during the past years to achieve the readiness of the national statehood, and mobilization of the full potential of the Palestinian people in their quest to end the occupation. This requires effort to provide the Palestinians with the necessary steadfastness on their land in the face of the settlement project and continual process of construction.
