The State Security Chamber of the Federal Supreme Court today heard a number of cases related to state security.
In the first case, locally known as the case of the ''Amir of Daesh'', the court heard the lawyer of the defendant, the Emirati husband of the woman who murdered the American teacher, in the case known as the ''Reem Island Ghost''.
The lawyer pleaded that his client was innocent. The court will deliver its verdict on 9th May.
The court decided to adjourn until 18th April the hearing of the case of an Emirati defendant charged with posting a video clip that went viral on social media sites mocking the electoral campaigns of the Federal National Council candidates.
The case of 23 defendants who are accused of belonging to Al Qaeda was postponed to 11th April.
An Emirati citizen who has been accused of joining a secret group had his case adjourned to 25th April, the same day when the court will issue its judgement on the case of an Emirati, who is facing charges of promoting Daesh ideology.
