Field Marshal Tantawi meets chief of staff of the Libyan army

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces' (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi conferred here on Thursday with Chief of Saff off the Libyan Army Maj.Gen. Yusuf Ahmed Al-Manqoush and his accompanying delegation , now visiting Egypt. They discussed aspects of joint cooperation and bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in the several domains. Egypt's efforts to support the libyan people were also taken up where the two sides confirmed their joint keenness on maintaining unity of the Libyan people whom they showcased joint confidence in their ability to build a modern and democratic state. For his part, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt.Gen. Sami Annan, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the SCAF later conferred with the Libyan military senior official on means of boosting joint military and security cooperation , ensuring the borders and exchaning experiences in several areas in light of the close relations binding the armed forces of the two sides together.
