Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi called on justice-seeking nations to avoid hastily taking stand regarding the recent US allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. He made the remark in a meeting with foreign ambassadors to Iran and representatives from several international organizations. Condemning the new US anti-Iran scenario, Salehi regretted that Washington had accused Tehran of an unfounded involvement in assassination attempt of the Saudi ambassador to Washington last week. “We strongly reject any involvement or interference in that terrorist operation,” he added. Salehi then called on all peace-seeking and independent states to appropriately react to that issue and to prevent formation of “an artificial crisis” to undermine the regional and international peace and stability.
