Egypt's Foreign Ministry has concluded an investigation into accusations against its representative to a UN conference in Nairobi of using antagonistic phrases when talking about African countries.
The accusations had been made by a Kenyan diplomat during a general assembly meeting of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
But the Foreign Ministry probe stressed Friday that such accusations are invalid and unfounded, said spokesman Ahmed Abo Zaid.
Having reviewed the minutes of the meeting and watched videos and footage, the investigators concluded that such accusations were fabricated.
The Foreign Ministry assigned the Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi to submit a request to sack the Kenyan official who is responsible for such gross mistake.
