
Terryl Peters, the husband of former U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for child molestation. Commissioner Jeffrey Reuter also sentenced Peters, of Peoria, Ariz., Friday to a lifetime probation in Maricopa County Superior Court, KPHO-TV, Phoenix, reported. Peters pleaded guilty to one count of molestation of a child and two counts of attempted molestation. He was arrested in June 2012 by Coconino County deputies after an investigation, KPHO reported. Mary Peters served as the U.S. Transportation Secretary from 2006 to 2009 and prior to that she was the director of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
