Former UN Envoy for Kosovo Martti Ahtisaari has said that Serbia should not be allowed to join the EU until it recognizes Kosovo. Commenting on Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic's statement that he will not recognize Kosovo even if the price was Serbia outside the EU, Ahtisaari said "If they want to join Russia, let them go there. Concessions are unacceptable, in Bosnia-Herzegovina or anywhere else." "Serbia should not be allowed to join the EU until it recognizes Kosovo. Serbia lost its rights in Kosovo a long time ago. It treated Kosovo citizens badly for years," the Nobel peace prize winner said.
