France again condemns bombings in Russia's volgograd

The French government on Monday strongly condemned, for the second time in two days, the terror bombings in the Russian city of Volgograd, where suicide bombers attacked public transport targets Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, France expressed solidarity with the victims and with Russian authorties after the main train station was hit by a suicide attack that killed at least 16 and wounded many more. The attack Monday on a public transport vehicle killed at least 15 and possibly more. "This attack, again aimed at the population and public transport, is a particularly barbarous and cowardly act," the Foreign Minsitry said here. "In these tragic circumstances, France assures the Russian authorities and population of their full solidarity (and) stand by their side in the fight against terorism. French President Francois Hollande on Monday called his Russian counterpart Vladmir Putin to express his solidarity after two terror bombings in the Russian city of Volgograd. Around 30 people are known to have died in the explosions Sunday and Monday which targeted the main railway station and a public transport vehicle. Hollande told Putin that France "stood beside Russia in this challenge" and he stressed the absolute need "to fight against terrorism and to coordinate efforts to to do this."
