France on Wednesday condemned yet another bomb attack earlier in the day in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, where four people died and over 100 other were wounded in a blast in the southern outskirts of the city. "France condemns the bombing this morning in southern suburbs of Beirut, close to the Iranian cultural centre," a statement from the Foreign Ministry said. The French authorities called on Lebanon "to shed all light on this terrorist act." "France reaffirms its full support to Lebanon and to its institutions, guarantors of the stability and integrity of the country," Paris declared. The statement pointed out that national understanding had given Lebanon a new government in the country's national interest and security must be made one of the priorities of this body. France also called on all parties to unite and work to counter all attempts at destabilisation.
