France denounces attack in Nigeria, reiterates support to fight militants

France's foreign ministry released a statement on Wednesday condemning the blast which hit Nigeria's Borno state and killed more than 40 people on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the Quai d'Orsay, Paris sent condolences to the families, stressing "the perpetrators must be brought to justice".
"France stands with Nigeria and the countries of the region in the fight against terrorism," it added.
At least 48 people were killed Tuesday in an explosion at a local market in the Damboa district of Nigeria's northeastern state of Borno.
