
France supports Egypt’s future roadmap and democratic transitional process, French Ambassador in Cairo Andre Baran said.
During a visit of the coastal city of Alexandria Monday, Baran said France also supports tourism in Egypt and all indications show that the tourism movement in the country is getting back to normal.
The French envoy said his country backs renewable energy projects in Egypt, including solar and wind energy.
Speaking about a military deal signed recently between the two countries, he said it reflects the strength of ties as allies against security threats and terrorism, adding that France is committed to the deal.
In February, Egypt and France signed a deal under which Cairo will receive 24 French Rafale jets and a FREMM frigate.
