French defence minister impressed by Egyptian pyramids

French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian voiced happiness and was deeply impressed by the huge structures of the Great Pyramids of Giza, praising the greatness of the Old Egyptians.
The Media Center of the Pyramids Plateau told MENA that the French minister and his accompanying delegation made a 90-minute tour of the Pyramids plateau and the Great Sphinx.
They were accompanied by assistants to the Egyptian defense minister and the French ambassador in Cairo.
The center asserted that this visit proves France's backing to Egypt in combating terrorism and affirmed Egypt's ability to stand against all challenges.
The French defense minister arrived here on Monday to witness the signing ceremony of Egypt's purchasing 24 Rafale warjets from France.
