
Director of the Observatory of geopolitical studies in Paris Saint-Prot on Saturday called for strengthening the French-Egyptian axis to face the challenges in the Middle East and the Mediterranean region.
On the sidelines of a seminar organized by the Egyptian Cultural Office in Paris, Protm told MENA that France considers Egypt as key partner in the Arab region.
He stressed that Cairo and Paris enjoy profound and long-standing relations throughout history.
Egypt and France share the same visions on the current regional crises as well as the threat of extremism and terrorism, the French figure added.
Prot praised the moves taken by Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, pointing out that he confronts the Muslim Brotherhood group and the terrorist groups in Sinai and Libya at the same time.
