French firemen march over shooting of their colleague by police

French firemen in Grenoble on Saturday held a demostration for their colleague who lost his eye by a plastic bullet fired by the police during a protest last week. Around thousand French firemen on Saturday held a silent walk in Grenoble to support their colleague who lost his eye after being shot by the police forces. The silent walk was a demonstration to show that the firemen and the population could act for an unjustifably injured person by the police. For last several months, French firemen in Grenoble are fighting for better job conditions. They have been fighting for the increase of their budget and against longer working hours. On December 27, while protesting in front of the prefecture of Grenoble, a fireman was injured by a rubber bullet fired by police forces and 31 years old fireman Quentin Charron lost his eye. One of his colleagues after the demostration said that "our injured colleague is however ready to continue the fight again and the rest of the firemen also will not stop fighting until they get their rights, especially after what happened to our friend Quentin." An another fireman said "he was shot by the police because he was fighting for his rights. Because of that, we will continue fighting till we get our rights."
