French MP Philippe Folliot said Tuesday the crash of EgyptAir plane while en route from Paris to Cairo last week will not affect ties between Egypt and France.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, MP Folliot, who leads a delegation of the Egyptian-French friendship group at the National Assemply, said relations between the two countries witnessed major developments in the political and economic arenas during the past period.
The French lawmaker asserted his country's keenness on backing Egypt's effort to attract more investments, saying that France also backs Egypt's efforts to restore the French tourism movement.
He said the delegation will visit Alexandria and Sinai to send a message of assurance to the French people that Egypt is safe, praising the state of stability Egypt is witnessing now.
He said the French companies are also keen on contributing to the projects in the Suez Canal area, adding he discussed with the head of the Suez Canal economic zone during his visit to Paris in March 2016 investment opportunities.
