Core members of Friends of Syria US, Britain, France, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Friday thanked Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu for a meeting of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces in Istanbul. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu hold a teleconference with the foreign ministers of the group's core members who thanked him for the Syrian opposition meeting which ended on Thursday, diplomatic sources said. Incidents and recent developments in Syria were discussed during the teleconference, where the ministers especially highlighted concrete results of the opposition meeting, emphasizing that the coalition would attain a stronger and representative structure with the enlargement decision of the opposition group. Also discussing preparations for a planned international peace conference in Geneva in June, the ministers underlined that core members of the group defended the parameters of their Amman meeting last week.
