GCC assistant sec-Gen asserts GCC security back up for Bahrain

 GCC Assistant Secretary-General for security affairs, Colonel Hazaa bin Mubarak Al-Hajeri, affirmed that security of Bahrain is a vital part of the Gulf security, and that all GCC countries stand by Bahrain against any external security threat. Colonel Al-Hajeri, in a press statement on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of GCC Interior Undersecretaries and Security Directors held today in Manama, underscored the cooperation and coordination in the security aspects and other aspects among Gulf countries, asserting the GCC countries' condemnation of all terrorist plots target Bahrain.He praised Bahrain's leadership's directives and the security forces' high capabilities in dealing with the security events and the procedures set to maintain security, hailing the transparency enjoyed by Bahrain.He noted that future meetings of GCC Interior Ministers will consider the unified Gulf police (GCC Interpol) project.
