The annual GCC Foreign Ministers' meeting was held here late Sunday on the sideline of the UN General Assembly. Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah took part in the meeting. GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdulatif Al-Zayani said that the gathering was aimed at coordinating GCC efforts within the UN. He added that the meeting focused on items to be discussed in the 67th UN General Assembly, noting that the Syrian crisis would be at the top of the GCC agenda during the UN event. In regards to issues such the Iranian nuclear file and the Palestinian cause, Al-Zayani said that the GCC stance on both issues was very clear, stressing it was very important to address these issues at the UN General Assembly.
