
The Consultative Authority of the GCC Supreme Council on Wednesday held its 23rd meeting of the 16th session under the chairmanship of Dr. Sheikha Maryam Hassan al-Khalifa of Bahrain. During the meeting, the participants discussed the visions of the Consultative Authority about the issues assigned to them and preparing the final draft for the visions that will be raised to the GCC Supreme Council. They also approved the minutes of the 2nd meeting of the 16th session and the new topics proposed for discussion at the 17th meeting of the Consultative Authority. Abdullah Yaqoub Beshara, Deputy Chair of the Authority said in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the meeting will raise the visions of the Authority to the AGCC Supreme Council towards media in the AGCC countries and its ability to keep pace with the latest technologies and developments in the world. He pointed out that the Authority will raise their visions about corruption, which has become an international evil whose roots should be analyzed and eliminated. It is worth mentioning that the GCC Supreme Council delegated the current session of the Consultative Authority with the task of discussing a number of topics including the establishment of a Public Authority for Food and Drug, Gulf Joint Centre for Public and Preventive Health and assessment of the GCC countries media strategies, means of combatting corruption, hindrances for development, the child status and how to develop it.
