German Minister for Economic Cooperation Dirk Niebel said that the President of Syrian administration Bashar Assad could not be the part of solution. Niebel made a statement to ‘’Frankfurter AllgemeineSonntagszeitung’’, and said that they took the side of diplomatic solution in Syria despite an escalation of the political crisis. "Assad can not be part of the solution," said Niebel. Niebel also pointed out that he was against military intervention to Syria, saying, "Although the political crisis is escalating in Syria, our experience was that the permanent solution could be found within the participation of all Syrian sides." Niebel made a call on Russia, China and the UN Security Council to change their attitudes (against Syria), and said, "If the claims against Assad (about the usage of chemical weapons) were verified, these countries would cover the crime."
