The German police said Tuesday that the Grafing train station in Munich, where a knife stabbing attack took place earlier in the day, was monitored by cameras like all other metro and train stations, said the German police spokesman on Tuesday.
In press statements, Stefan Mayeur added that there cameras helped the German police to identify the attacker, a 27-year-old German national.
He was arrested and now being questioned by the bodies concerned, added the spokesman.
There are extremists in Germany who are monitored round the clock, said the spokesman, adding that German security and intelligence departments are closely cooperating with other agencies to guarantee the security of citizens.
