German State Secretary at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Media, Energy and Technology Franz Josef praised on Sunday the significant role played by Egypt in the Middle East region.
During a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail in Cairo, Josef said the German businessmen are keen on increasing their investments in Egypt, especially in the industrial, construction and service fields.
The coming period will witness more cooperation between the two countries in different fields, he noted.
Ismail, for his part, welcomed the German state secretary and his accompanying delegation to Egypt.
He urged the German businessmen to pump more investments into Egypt and make use of different facilities provided by the Egyptian government.
The two sides tackled steps taken by the Egyptian government to modernize infrastructure and establish mega projects in the fields of electricity and construction.
