Germany plans to participate with up to 330 soldiers to crisis management in the West African nation of Mali. German media said that the issue will be discussed by Germany’s parliament (Bundestag), and is expected to be approved by the Cabinet this Tuesday. For the planned EU Training Mission, Germany wants to deploy up to 180 soldiers. 150 more soldiers for the use of transport and tanker aircraft. On Monday, the European Union (EU) formally given the go-ahead to the launch of a 500-strong military mission in Mali to support France in its war on the West African country. During a session today, EU foreign ministers approved the final phase in setting up the European Union Training Mission (EUTM) to purportedly train the Malian army.
