Germany pleased with Iran-sextet deal in Geneva

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle on Sunday expressed satisfaction with the Sunday agreement between Iran and the major world powers over Tehran's nuclear program, and called on both sides to continue this progressive trend. The top German diplomat said a "political agreement on initial substantial steps" had been reached in Geneva aimed at ending the nuclear dispute. Westerwelle called on the West and Iran "to rebuild mutual trust over the next months." He also urged a "transparent and verifiable implementation of the accord" and a swift continuation of negotiations geared at a final resolution of the nuclear row. Iran and the G5+1(the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) reached an agreement in Geneva on Sunday after days of intensive negotiations.
