The Deputy Wali (governor) and Minister of Urban Planning at Gezira State Mohamed Al-Kamil has affirmed importance of boosting joint cooperation and opening of investment opportunities in various fields between Sudan and the United kingdom. This came upon his meeting Tuesday at the Guest House at Wad Medani with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Sudan Mr. Peter Tibber, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture at the state Abdallah Mohamed Osman, where the meeting the meeting discussed numerous issues aiming at encouraging of investment and cooperation between the two sides to serve the peoples in Sudan and the United Kingdom. Al-Kamil appreciated the great role being played by the British Embassy, representing in Mr. Tibber in preservation of the spirit of contact and cooperation between the two countries, announcing full readiness of the state to receive british investment in all fields along providing of facilities necessary for realization of the joint objectives. The Minister of Agriculture, for his part, extended briefings on the huge capabilities of the state in the domain of agriculture and livestock, adding there are projects, on which studies have been conducted, waiting inflow of foreign capital to be invested in. Meanwhile, expressed thanks and gratitude for the government of Gezira State, referring to the historic ties between the peoples of Sudan and the United Kingdom, affirming keenness of his government for the joint cooperation with the state in all spheres.
