Gorbachev hospitalised for examination

Former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev has been hospitalized for a general examination, the Interfax news agency quoted the Gorbachev Foundation as saying on Tuesday. The foundation said the former leader, 82, underwent regular examinations as he has long been suffering diabetes. It is not immediately known how long he will stay in the Central Clinical Hospital.
