Turkish Cypriot Foreign Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun said latest statements of a spokesperson for the Greek Cypriot administration once again showed that the Greek Cypriot side was not pro-settlement. In a written statement on Monday, Ozgurgun said remarks by Christos Stylianides, the spokesperson, had proved that the Greek Cypriot side tried to stall the settlement process by putting forward excuses. He said the Turkish Cypriot side's "good will and determination" during and after the peace negotiations aimed at finding a comprehensive solution together with Turkey discomforted the Greek Cypriots. Ozgurgun said Turkey as a guarantor state had always supported every step towards solution, adding that Turkey would continue to support the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
