Hadi extends condolence to Vietnamese president on General Giap's death

President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Saturday sent a letter to condolence to President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang on the death of Vietnam's independence hero General Vo Nguyen Giap. The President expressed his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy and on behalf of the Yemeni government and people with the Gen. Giap's family and the Vietnamese government and people. Vietnam's legendary General Giap died Friday at the age of 102. He was born on August 25, 1911 into a well-off peasant family. He was a self-taught soldier whose only military lesson came from an old encyclopedia entry describing the mechanism of hand grenades. His Guerrilla tactics defeated the French and American armies in 1954 and 1975 respectively.
